Why hello! This past week has been a bit strange with a nearly empty studio. Nobody’s here to tell me how to feel!
In keeping with the tradition of dull and infrequent ‘directorial addresses’, here’s an update from headquarters.

Thanks for watching. 😀 Music by Jan Morgenstern.

Here’s a zip with original un-touched 4k renders. One shot (cave) even has bad AA, but that’s because it was accidentally rendered without FSA. 🙂

Quickie one! Couple hours ago we reached 100.57% of final renders done! (yea we even passed it! 😛 )
We’re doing last minute encoding of the film right now, got the prints and t-shirts on the car, about to leave to Studio K for the pre-premiere.
We are so anxious, can’t wait! Next blogpost we’ll tell how things went 😀
OK time to leave, for those who can make it to the pre-premiere, see you there! let’s have some fun, party, drinks, blendergeekie time 😀
Gotta go, wish us luck! 😀

The Durian team is preparing for the screening of this Sunday, July 18th.
Part of it is the making of prints and T-shirts. Ali Boubred
Worth to say this prints are actual 4K frames straight from the film, we resisted the temptation of painting over them 🙂

The interest in the finals screening on sunday 18th July is overwhelming! We’re getting close to 150 people now, which is the limit for Studio K’s theatre.
For those who intend to visit us sunday evening, make sure you’re on the guest list. Last chance, mail me! (ton at blender org)

Over the course of the project its come to my attention that as developers we get it pretty easy with lots of encouraging comments from the community, however I worry that we don’t properly communicate the troubles we invariably cause when poking about with Blender.
To this end, here is a laundry list of memorable mistakes we made during the project.
