    1. D Says:

What? Only two minutes if applause? ๐Ÿ˜€

    2. Jacob Valenta Says:

I would be one of those screaming fans, but I cant be there ๐Ÿ™ should I jsut send an email with a video of what it would be?

    3. Steve Mattingly Says:

I would love to be there, but they don’t have open source international flights yet.

    4. tin2tin Says:

I hope the the arrangers of the festival know how big a following Sintel will have and also inform the poor filmmakers who made โ€œLang en gelukkigโ€ beforehand, that the Sintel will properly steal the picture. ๐Ÿ™‚

You guys deserve that more shortfilm festivals will invite it – Or the Dutch Filminstitute will send it around – so it’ll get the big festival tour around the world. There are lots of short/animation film festivals out there…

    5. nawabz Says:

      โ€œHappily foreverโ€ wtcoph?

    6. J. Says:

According to IMDb the English title is: ”Happily Ever After”
That’s just how you say that in fairytales.
In Dutch we say: ”En ze leefden nog lang en gelukkig”
In English: ”And they lived happily ever after”

    7. David Mulder Says:

Despite planning to go to the premiere originally I ended up going to the first screening on sunday (more of my friends were able to come that day). Hope there might be a few sintel fans there as well ๐Ÿ™‚ I will see ๐Ÿ˜›

    8. J. Says:

@Ton: Are you going to do your intro talk in English or Dutch?

    9. Ton Says:

J: thanks, I knew i had it wrong translated ๐Ÿ™‚
      And yes, Dutch intro.

    10. William Says:

Wait, the movie got renamed to Happily Ever After? ๐Ÿ˜‰

    11. Loris Says:

You’ll be hearing me clapping all the way from Italy. ๐Ÿ˜€

    12. J. Says:

If you record it and put it on Youtube, we will, indeed! ๐Ÿ˜›

    13. Agus Says:

Whould be nice to have a good speaker with laptop aside of the red carpet , i can stream live myself and scream like a crazy, many of the community can.

why we can’t be there with in this age of internet and hitech communications?
i can upload my scream mp3 file and you can mix with all the scream community and reproduce them there, they will be authentic and we will be there.

A computer aside the red carpet representing all we the fans that were following during since it was only a rumour!

    14. Gallaecio Says:

      Wow, new website theme rocks!

    15. Deevad Says:

@Gallaecio : Thanks , I worked on it this evening to refresh it a bit.

    16. J. Says:

Pretty cool, but I see a lot of banding at the borders…

    17. camilo Says:

I’d so love to be there!!. I’ve waited many time for Sintel. Greetings and best wishes from Colombia.

    18. Deevad Says:

@J. : Thanks for the feedback ; I removed the gradient and keep a pure black around. We try to save Ko of bandwith on the website now to permit more poeple to see the online premiere ( before the server to be down ) ๐Ÿ˜‰

    19. maddes Says:

I believe you can completely avoid “sever down” at the online Premiere by providing torrents…
As has been suggested by others too.

    20. Lee Says:

@maddes: Yes we will be doing torrents =)

    21. T.L. Bainter Says:

Been following this since it was just an idea! Glad to see it come together like this, and wish I could be there – looking forward to seeing the finished product for myself!

    22. firestar Says:

Its too bad I live in canada, so i cant make it down there:(
I agree with open-source flights! XD
Will there be a live broadcast from the premiere online?

    23. Joe Says:

I wish i had the money and the time off work to fly accross the pond to come see it. Congrats everyone on the project!!

    24. Belich Says:

Please dont forget to record the reaction of the audience =!.-=

      best of lucks!

    25. Internet Wanderer Says:

      2 DAYS!!!

    26. joeri67 Says:

Try to get some sleep. ๐Ÿ™‚

    27. Serpent36 Says:

Just 5 more days until the internet release! And I hope lots of fans go to the premiere. ๐Ÿ˜€

    30. Deevad Says:

Thanks about the redesign of the website ๐Ÿ™‚

    31. Mirata Says:

Day of the premiere! If I see it correctly. Anyway, goodluck!

    32. Internet Wanderer Says:

Can the premiere events be seen in streaming?

    33. maddes Says:

@Mirata: No, you don’t see it correctly.
The counter still says 1Day- on the day of the premiere, it will be zero. Premiere is Monday 27 september, 19:30h.

@Durian-Team: Maybe Adrenalin level is raising? I wish the very best for the Premiere. Wish i could be there, supporting you with screaming etc….
And of course, watching sintel in a premiere atmosphere will be great.

    34. W Says:

The counter seems to go by the computer’s time, which, in my case, is seven hours off. Good thing I can do my algebra…

    35. Niko Says:

      @Loris: yeah me too ๐Ÿ˜€

    36. The Fatsnacker Says:

I’m slightly envious of all of you attending the premier, unlucky for me my lottery ticket failed to come in on friday or saturday.

I’ve watched Sintel and Blender closely for the better part of the current year. Having looked at the bugs logged on the bug tracker I really dont know how you did it.

Thanks to you we have 2.5, a new internal renderer on its way, a new update to the modelling tools, inclusion of the freestyle on its way, improvements to the particle system, the sculpting system, and unlimited clay…the list goes on.

I am what is generally term a chaos artist, my level of art has never progressed further the school grade scketching, in fact my only level of competence is the ability to draw a straight line with the use of a ruler. I have the mental ability to see possibilites, the tool to allow me to realise those possibilites (blender) but an iherent lack to bridge the gap… :). Man I wish Blender was released when I was a student….. :{.

I have watched and been amazed by the quality of stills and animations comming out on Blender Nation using both 2.49 and 2.5. ‘The Cup’ springs to mind as a a recent good example, but there are others and even more on the way: ‘The London Project’, and the ‘Tube’, being prime examples.

I like the way there are free tutorials from CGTUTS, BlenderCookie and BlenderGuru to name but a few to help me progress my current lack of ability……

There are a lot of people who have put a lot of sweat and tears into Blender 2.5, some now seeking employment elsewhere (Brecht), and the artists involved with Sintel, I wish them well.

Whilst I cannot promise you screaming girls tomorrow night, I do wish you (the team) the best for tomorrow night. Please feel free to return the compliment with a suitable number of you suffering the after effects of a large quantity of beer! of other items located in that part of the world.

      regards TFS

    37. Johnell Says:

This is so exciting! This has been an amazing journey! Great job to all!

    38. 3dementia Says:

It says 4 hours, 19 minutes to go. You guys got a minute?

    39. RenderDad Says:

I’ve just started working with Blender for about a year and I love this program. I have been watching along as Sintel has been progressing. What an exciting moment for your entire team and what testament for the Blender community as a whole. Congratulations to the team. I think the countdown clock is a nice touch. Clearly you are all very excited as you should be. Enjoy the evening and the kudos that will come with it. You are all incredibly awesome!

    40. Mat Says:

Hey, i saw sintel this afternoon at 16h, during “animatie 2010”. It was awesome, and the end surprised me. Is ther going to be a 4th Movie?

    41. J. Says:

Aaaaah, great, I’m gonna see it coming evening! (for the second time, I’ve attended the pre-premiere)

How was the 35mm print and the sound?

    42. J. Says:

Look what I just found in the daily newspaper of the festival:
      http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/4867/sintelnffkrant.jpg (I know, it’s Dutch)

Some answers Ton gave have been extremely simplified, unfortunately making them incorrect. ๐Ÿ™
Funny thing to read is that they had to call and bother Halina Reijn’s agent quite a lot. ๐Ÿ˜€
Also some funny words about the Dutch accents and the ”zit stil” in the cabin scene. ๐Ÿ˜€

But great that you get such attention, hopefully it will fill the last empty seats this evening!

    43. David Says:

I’m confused. According to the countdown Sintel will be showing in less then one hour. Which is at 4:33AM in Amsterdam. But at 7:33pm in California time…??? I think the countdown is going by everyone local time on their computer. When I read 3dementia’s comment I still had over 6 hours left… Wait a minute; but then it should say one day and one hour, since it is still the 26th here…??? :p

    44. David Says:

Just set my computers clock back 2 hours and now the countdown says 2 hours and 33 minutes left. It is going according to the time on the computer viewing it! its probably to late to fix it though. :p If any one is wondering since the time of this post there is still 15 hours 33 minutes until the premiere.

    45. Big Fan Says:

wooo! 30 mins to go! break a leg…or whatever.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    46. Big Fan Says:

hmmm actaully I check the time difference on TimeandDate.com and there is 11.5 hours to go ๐Ÿ™

    47. Big Fan Says:

I guess you were warming up on the clock before the leg… ๐Ÿ˜€

    48. Carsten Says:

Wish you the best for the premiere. Wish i could be there… Now iยดm just waiting for the online release. I was a bit angry that itยดs online before i get my preordered DVD at first, but then i realised that my main reason to buy it was to support Durian, not to be someone special. So just put it online, cant wait any longer!

    49. Nick Tate Says:

Hope you have a good fesitval. Film looks great never in doubt.
Good luck today hope everyyhing goes to plan today.

    50. Anacleto Says:

At 19.48 iยดll be working, but Iยดll stop my job to start two minutes of applause,
      two minutes, no more,..hahahahaha….
Greetings and best wishes from Spain.
Good luck, …but you (we) donยดt need it. ๐Ÿ˜€

    51. zdreamonz Says:

      The best for Durian team!
      Wish i were there!

    52. radiant Says:

YEAH !!!!! ITS TIME PREMIERE NOW XD.
but not till the 30th for me

    53. joeri67 Says:

      woot…

    54. J. Says:

Guys, it’s 1:57 PM now here in the Netherlands, the countdown only works correctly when you set the clock of your PC on GMT +2.
So now it’s 5 hours and 34 minutes to go!

    55. OneEyedOdin Says:

      Hurrah! It’s here!

    56. Sybren Says:

      The premiere was awesome!

    57. exn Says:
